I didn't see one here already, so I made one myself. Ask questions and share your Elsa Matchup tips here.

Anyone have any advice against Petra? I fought a very good Petra earlier today on ranked and got curbstomped. How do you punish her dodge? It's so fast and it seems like she can just mash on it if you even get close to her.

I'm more interested in solutions for matchups against Kamui & Cathy. That shit's a pain, I swear.

I'm fine with Cathy, but Kamui is a pain to space against. You really have to be systematic in your approach or else she'll just swat you away. Be careful about 4GC Tenza, it will tag any of your limbs you have sticking out. When you show that you can deal with that, there is not much the Kamui can do to get away.

Run Tyr on Cathy, seriously.

just run tyr on cathy, it makes her FREE. Also, Kamui, you can tag her buttons with yours, most of your buttons WILL beat her buttons (since they're really not that good). Though it's hard to confirm off of those really far hits.

Gotta block schar, and then get in once or twice (if she bursts)

Be patient. That's how the matchup goes. Just try not to get poked to death.

Just remember, her one invincible reversal is 214A+B which is REALLY slow and you can react to it, if you block you can do a full punish and that should be the end of her. Just be always blocking when trying to come in and try to be tricky with your approach. Like one that will make her have to CHOOSE 5B/2B/5C to keep you out. If you get her to guess wrong, you get in and she eats damage.

Sorry I'm late to this, but I'll shed my thoughts. Patience is the key to this fight as well as composure. Her neutral can be frustrating with bullets and the dodge. That being said, you want to be cautious with your rushdown and approach. Don't challenge her air to air. Her j.B > your air to air.  As for her dodge, maneuver carefully with your homing to get around it and punish it if she whiffs the followups. Watch out for A counter fire from dodge because of it's air unblockable/upper body invuln properties because it will punish you if you are predictable.

The matchup is mostly about cautious play and maneuvering. I'll have more info if I find anything, but this is just my 2 cents for now.

if she mashes dodge, throw her. As much as your ground throw sucks, you'll have to make her think twice about dodging so much. one thing I'll do is speed home in with j.A expecting them to dodge and mash throw out. If they dodge early I steer out of the way... But yeah, too bad all you get off of neutral throw is 236A+B midscreen, and nothing in the corner except maybe a 4C setup?

Unless it's an up walltech or airtech from wall bounce you can 4c tech punish. Doesn't seem to work on a downward tech iirc.
