I cannot believe people are taking this game seriously.

)looks like a good portion of tales stuff is being re-released.

good, now i can actually get vesperia without paying insane prices.

Quotewhy? you can play vesperia right now. it's for 360. the only reasons in wanting the ps3 version is:
a) die-hard vesperia fans who have already played through the game for 360
b) hopeless ps3 fanboys with entitlement complexes
literally. that's it. the game is in english, for 360, so you might as well buy it. if you haven't played the 360 version, you won't be skipping cutscenes, which is possible in the ps3 version.
the saddest thing is, this has really kept its price. you're not going to find the game for cheap, hell, even graces f is cheaper.
I've played both... and the difference is like an ass from your mediocore girlfriend versus the ass of a pornstar (totally forgetting how original voices are superior over dubbing)... pretty much it adds shitloads of content, much more actually than ToGF was supposed to add (future arc was rather poor... 3 new boss models srsly?)... What you get?
- new costumes
- new skits
- some changes in the storyline due to the new chars
- new added dungeons (as of bonus ones or ones added to the main storyline), some got expanded
- more than 10 new bosses
- new artes
- new mystic artes/hi-oughi's
- new skills
- new weapons/armor etc.
- new mini-game
- repede can wear costumes and can be the character you explore with (after doin the mini-game)
- there were some unvoiced scenes in the main story line in which got voice added on ps3
- new side quests
- team arena
... and prolly more which am forgetting now
Edit: - Patty and Flynn playable characters
- Overlimit up to 8
- Improved dificulty of boss fights (including some mechanics which prevent you from doing certain spam from the xbox version)
- Less lagg
i won't follow because i don't care about localization, it's obvious they're not interested and it's a wonder that they're even bothering with graces.Wow im sorry you feel that way. I personaly will kill for this. Lol JK :3 Tales of vesperia had the best graphics until graces came out which made me like it more. Plus the gameplay is solid.
there's a translation patch in process, right? and considering i've played through the game in english and japanese for 360 and
'd the game, i'm not in any hurry to play it again. but i'd probably order the ps3 version if the patch was actually released.
the best thing about the PS3 version was the ability to skip cutscenes. they go on and on and on and on. the heart of vesperia is the battle system, and since there's already a menu patch, if you really wanted to play through, you could just seek measures into downloading it.
anyway, i disagree with recent jrpgs stagnating, nier and resonance of fate are two of the best i've played in years. everyone is like, "oh it's untranslated, therefore it's superior" but it's really not like that. last story is mediocre, pandora's tower is ok and xenoblade is great. it's not like they're all good because they're lacking localizations. same applies with any genre, really.
